Moleskine Madness...Told Match!

Time kept flowing through the empty corridors of her heart.
She missed him but, would not say.
He knew this and would not say.
They were both together.
Yet, still always and forever apart.

Have a sullen Sunday!

Moleskine Madness...Stellar News!

The Samurai wizard played with essence of the universe.
Giving the spirit of the wish a form that was divine and natural.
When the old and dark called.
It did not obey.
The wish was its own self.

Have a wandering Wednesday!

Moleskine Madness...Essence of Newt!

The noon day sun gave the rabbit the sweats.
The cactus loomed and swayed with her every jump.
The smell of sage and salt made her hunger.
Then the dust appeared.
It took her to a place that was cool and down.
She slept.

Have a ticklish Tuesday!

Moleskine Madness...Jupiter's Moons!

The gods cried when she left.
Her beauty was sullen and mysterious.
The eyes that held power over men, and women.
The grace and subtle movement of her smooth and lithe body.
There was no one else like her on Earth.
Anymore.

Have a masterful Monday

Foto Phunday...Dead Duck!

Whoa!
What's this?
I'm being very careful.
It might bite.

Looks like it's dead.

Yup, it's not breathing.

Poor little thing.

Have a saintly Sunday!

Moleskine Madness...Dead Heat!

It was a small thing to do.
But, it meant something that was indefinable to her.
She kept it near her heart.
And refused to let go.
It was a big thing to her.

Have a furious Friday!

Moleskine Madness...Open Line!

The phone rang two times.
That used to be their signal.
Something was hot and ready to pop.
Where it would happen was a mystery.
He would wait.
The phone would ring again.

Have a wild Wednesday!

Moleskine Madness...Foul Heather!

Absent when the edge met the swords end.
She gave the balladeer the heave and sway.
Gathered the ochre utensils that had strewn upon the fresh grave.
Seek the seven senses of the sisters in dance.
And give them no respite of allowance in the fire.

Have a toasty Tuesday!

Moleskine Madness...Chained Smoke!

He took the chair that she had been sitting in.
It was warm.
She was warm and friendly and looked good naked.
He looked around and wondered where she had gone.
The lecture was almost over and he needed a ride home.
And a large glass of beer.
They always stopped at the bar after the class.
It was their way to unwind.
To blow some smoke and let the steam rise.

Have a munificent Monday!

Foto Phunday...Tears and Hearts!

Yes.
The onions await.
The sauce will be made.
Like my onions.
I know you do.
Yes.

Have a spaghetti Sunday!

Moleskine Madness...Usual Bites!

Beyond the gate; she had waited.
She waited hours and then left.
Her love did not arrive.
And would never call.
She went back to her husband.
And lived her life.
Looking at the gate.
And the passion it had held.
Beyond.

Have a fair and true Friday!

Moleskine Madness...Bold Dog!

She stepped outside for a quick break.
The stars were out and she took a sip from her diet soda.
"This is a joke." She whispered to herself.
It was apparent that she was the only one there.
The parking lot was empty.
She was the only one still working in the building.
She looked up at the stars and she knew that she wasn't alone.
A fog horn sounded.
She pitched her empty soda bottle across the parking lot.
Then turned and went back inside the building.
To finish.

Have a thinking Thursday!

Moleskine Madness...Fancy Feet!

She had never danced until she looked into his eyes.
The lightning shook like red cat tails on a poke tied window streak.
No one in history had felt like this.
And nobody would ever again feel like this.
She was gone.
Left turn where the surf had met the sand.

Have a watered Wednesday!

Moleskine Madness...Frontier Pants!

It had been a very long time since he had seen her.
He didn't even know if he would recognize her anymore.
She was like a dream in his mind.
Did that really happen?
He wasn't sure now.
He wondered what she would say.
Probably nothing that he would be interested in.

Have a toddling Tuesday!

Moleskine Madness...Defective Fish!

Fashion was her only excuse.
It danced in her head with perceptual spots.
When she talked it was what no one wanted to hear.
And yet, they couldn't stop listening.
She always knew her part.
Through the dusk and into the cloudy sky.

Have a meteoric Monday!

Moleskine Madness...Immortal Coal!

When the heart is broken and pitched.
The center opens and gives time to the newborn.
Then settles upon itself in a regimented fury.
Seeking the solace that may never come.
Bound to the tradition of ancient sculptures; it peers not into the future but, into the glass.

Foto Phunday...Fresh Paint!

The painting is on the easel.
It feels like a good start and I'm eager to get back to it.
I just wanted to give everyone a clue that the Stuff From the Webmonkee may be leaving its home at Oddbird Arts. Though I'm kind of on the fence about it. I'm very fond of being the Webmonkee!

As the business is growing, the Chickpeas! strip is expanding, there are some new animated shorts that will be there, and new children's books to take up that space. So, I had the feeling that site should be exclusively for that.
Please bookmark the page if you enjoy it!
I will continue to add a new drawing or photo everyday and make my usual poetry.
I'm not really sure if it's a combination of Emily Dickinson meets Bukowski or a Dorothy Parker meets James Thurber but, it does sometimes produce an unusual offspring.

Please visit the new Oddbird Arts blog and get a view of the new work that we are doing!
I'm especially enjoying the adventure and the opportunity to create something new!
Join me there too!

Have a safe Saturday!

Moleskine Madness...Cravings Undead!

There was a silent ocean of emotion that had separated them,
Kept them apart.
And yet as they were separate; they were whole.
When they were together; they were more than what is; what was
and could be.
 This produced painful joy.
It was the perception of the soul.
The merging of the heart.
It wasn't death. It wasn't life.
It was immortal.
There was a name for it; that went unspoken between them.

Have a fun Friday!

Moleskine Madness...Wine and Ink!

She knew now what she had lost.
She had driven him away.
The constant staring. The incessant teasing.
That was her way.
She pretended to be the sexy starlet.
In her mind she was the manipulator.
He knew the reality.
Of what she was.

Have a thick and thin Thursday!

Moleskine Madness...Star Crossed!

He had decided that was the way it was going to be.
From now on.
Never again.
He was alone now.
Forever.
From now on.
Only sorrow and joyless living.
Then to work.
'Til death do he part.
He was alone.
It had been his decision.
His alone.

Have a weekly Wednesday!

Moleskine Madness...True Snit!

It had perched itself on the edge of the sink.
It popped up and down and looked at him with the old red eye.
There was nothing he could do except watch the dance.
How did it get in the house?
Why was it eating the stale popcorn off of the kitchen counter?
It just looked too angry to deal with right now.
He decided to make a sandwich and wait it out in the other room.
It continued to scream and cough.

Have a talkative Tuesday!

Moleskine Madness...Rolled Mice!

He filled out section two and turned the page.
It was a diagram. Underneath was a few questions that he scanned.
Nothing to difficult.
It was a matter of taking the time and being detailed.
He clicked his pencil and started.
He looked at the clock. Seconds of his life.
Ticking past. Lost. They could never be returned.
Then he had a fleeting thought.
Why had he watched all those hours of television?
Then he realized.
It was nothing to difficult
It was a matter of taking the time and being detailed.

Have a minute Monday!
